Tourist attractions in Cuiabá

Cuiabá is a large and economic urban center of the central-western region in Brazil and a starting point for various tourist sites in the state of Mato Grosso. Located in a privileged area, the capital of Mato Grosso is located in the gateway to the Amazon, at the entrance of Pantanal and a few kilometers from the famous Chapada dos Guimarães, three of the main sights in the region. It is worth noting that the city has one of the warmer climates of Brazil.

A Brazilian biome, consisted of a flooded savannah and a high biodiversity, the Pantanal also occupies Bolivia and Paraguay. It is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage and Biosphere Reserve.


Managed by the Chico Mendes Institute, it is a conservation unit of the Brazilian biodiversity, located at Chapada dos Guimarães. It houses an amazing natural resort full of waterfalls, caves, lakes and trails in the middle a typical savanna nature, the predominant vegetation in the region.
